Reportedly, proper nutrition improves eyesight. However good food and proper nutrition may vary between urban and rural regions due to varying access to nutrition information and health eye care facilities. This may also lead to varying understanding about food, diet and nutrition, and, as such its relationship with eye and visual activity. We, therefore, tried to find out if perceived knowledge differs between urban and rural inhabitants in food choices/dietary behaviors/ nutrition related eye diseases. Aim and Objective: To assess the level of perceived knowledge among rural and urban respondents regarding the prevalent eye diseases and to determine if those are associated with proper dietary habits and nutrition behavior.
